The market and its application of polyester spunbonded nonwoven fabrics
Building material
Building materials include a wide range of materials. Materials involved in the use of spunbond nonwovens are mainly roofed waterproof materials, followed by wall insulation, wall base waterproof, pipeline protection, underground drainage, and preventing root growth from encroach on buildings. At present, the application in China is mainly concentrated in the field of roof waterproof materials.
 
In European and American countries, especially in Europe, this kind of waterproof material has been widely used since the end of 80s and early 90s, with the market share of more than 40%, and most of the PET spunbond base. The application of polyester felt base in China started late, but its consumption is only 20 million m2 by 2000. But since entering the new century, new waterproof materials have been developing rapidly. In 2002, the application of modified asphalt waterproofing membrane with PET fiber as the tire base reached 70 million m2 and continued to grow. It is predicted that in the next 5 years, the modified asphalt waterproofing membrane will still develop at a faster speed, and the proportion will increase to more than 20% by 2010. The potential market of new waterproofing materials in China is very large (about 8~10 billion m2). With the continuous development of China's economic construction, the PET spunbonded linoleum base has an optimistic prospect.

Geotextile 
The application of Geotextiles in foreign countries has begun in 60s. The United States is the largest country in the world for the consumption of geotextiles. At the beginning of 90s, the amount of its consumption was over 300 million m2, and the consumption of the geotextiles was 700 million m2 in recent years. Geotextiles in Europe and Japan have also developed rapidly, and the annual consumption of Geotextiles in Europe is also around 400 million m2, of which spunbonded nonwovens account for about 60% of nonwoven geotextiles, and the application of Geotextiles to geotextiles has been significantly increased in Japan after the mid 90s. The amount of spunbond in Japanese nonwoven geotextiles is the largest, accounting for 60% of the total amount of nonwoven geotextiles, and the main is PET spunbond cloth.
 
China's geotextiles started in the early 80s, but the amount used at that time was very few. Until the great flood caused the attention of the government in 1998, the construction department put the application of geotextile into the design code, and made the relevant national standards. The geotextile was really paid attention to and developed. At present, the amount of land cloth has exceeded 300 million m2, and the proportion of nonwoven geotextiles accounts for 40%. China's civil engineering construction has huge potential market, and its potential is no less than 7~8 billion M2 currently used in the US. Experts estimate that my land textile will grow in double-digit growth in the next 15 years, and the fastest growth rate is PET spunbonded filament geotextile.
 
During the period of "fifteen" and "11th Five-Year", our country plans to invest in water conservancy, electricity, transportation, environmental protection, river management and other projects, including water conservancy construction, South to North Water Diversion Project, electricity investment, highway and railway construction, environmental engineering construction, and port, airport, garbage disposal, river, lake and sea governance, sand control and so on. Up to trillion yuan. In the next 10 years or more, more and more infrastructure projects will be built, and the demand for geotextiles will be more and more. China will be the largest marketing market for geosynthetics in the world.
 
Domestic production capacity of PET spunbonded nonwovens 
At present, our country has about 9 PET spunbond production lines, with a total production capacity of about 31 thousand t/a, including Yizheng non-woven fabric factory, Hunan non-woven fabric factory, Henan Sanli company, Shanghai Jia Michael Wei company, Jiangxi Guo Qiao company for the introduction of the production line of Italy or West Germany, Shaoxing Lida, Xinjiang Tianli, Xichuan non-woven, Dalian Hengda, Zhejiang WIKO non-woven cloth factory and other domestic production Line, its minimum width 2.4m, maximum width 6m. The maximum production capacity of these production lines is 4500 t/a, and the minimum production capacity is 1000 t/a. The 4.5m widen PET spunbond geotextile and linoleum base cloth, which is designed and manufactured by the textile industry nonwoven technology development center, is a equipment with large production capacity and best product quality, with annual production capacity of 3500 t/a.
 
At present, the main products of these production lines include geotextiles, engineering impervious materials, building waterproof materials, composite reinforced materials, automobile cloth, cushioning materials, shoe chemical films and so on. The prospect is considerable.
